Explanation

  • If you ask someone on the phone to hang on, you want them to stay on the line and wait for a short time.

    Be Careful! This expression is quite informal.
  • 電話中の会話で hang on と言うと、電話を切らないで少しの間待つ、ということを意味します。

    注意:この表現は、かなりくだけた言い方です。
