(SALES) VOLUME   (販売)総量、総額

Explanation

The word volume is often used to mean the total amount of something.

Sales volume, for example, is the total amount of products sold or their total value.
volume という単語は、何かの総量をさして使うことがあります。

例えば、sales volume であれば、販売された商品の総数、またはその総額、つまり、売上高、という意味になります。

6 Small specialty stores often rely on high prices for their profits. The strategy of most big-box stores, on the other hand, is to generate profits from high sales volumes rather than high markups.
