2010.04.15(Review of 2005.05.09 edition)
Today's WordMaster@Work focuses on the person who is always right. No, we don't mean that obnoxious know-it-all you used to sit next to in chemistry class. We mean the Customer, with a capital “C”!
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL (CUSTOMER) 内部/外部(顧客)
- An internal customer is an employee who receives a service from another employee in the same organization.
An external customer is a person or organization that receives a service, but is not part of the organization that provides the service.
- I work in Payroll, so every employee in the company is my internal customer.
- (supervisor giving her staff a pep talk)
Your internal customers deserve the same courtesy and care that you provide to external customers. - Sales reps have direct contact with external customers every day, so it's important that they project the right image.
Thanks for your business!
