For Life
2010.03.03(Review of 2004.09.22 and 2004.09.27 edition)

We're out taking the air once again, and this time we've brought along a word that should serve us well when asking or giving directions!

Today's Lesson
INTERSECTION   交差点

Explanation

  • An intersection is a place where two or more streets cross one another.

A three-way intersection is a place along a road where another road begins - forming the shape of a “T” - or where the road splits in two - forming the shape of a “Y”.

We also talk about a four-way intersection (= an “ordinary” intersection), a five-way intersection, etc.
