Explanation

  • A quota is the amount of something that is officially allowed, necessary, or expected.
  • quota とは、正式に認められている、必要とされている、または求められている量、つまり、割り当てやノルマのことです。

  1. The country has a quota on imports of foreign cheese.
  2. In the '60s we introduced a quota system for hiring women, but by the late '80s such a system was no longer necessary.
