Here's an interesting expression. Note how the word “go” is used as a noun rather than a verb!

Explanation

  • To make a go of a business, an idea, etc., is to make it succeed.
  • 仕事やアイディアなどについて make a go of と言うと、それを成功させる、という意味になります。
