Explanation

  • If you count on someone, you depend or rely on them to do something.

    If you count on something, you expect it to happen, expect to receive it, etc.
  • 人に対して count on を使う場合、その人がすることに頼ること、つまり、当てにする、という意味です。

    物事に対して count on を使う場合、何かが起こることや、手に入ることを期待する、という意味です。
