Explanation

  • An election campaign (noun) is a series of activities before an election, done in order to get votes.

    To campaign (verb) is to participate in activities of this kind.
  • election campaign は、票を得るために選挙前に行われる活動、つまり、選挙運動のことです。

    動詞の campaign は、このような選挙運動を行う、という意味です。
