Explanation

  • To see off someone who is leaving is to go with them to the place they are leaving from (for example, an airport, train station, or your front door) and say goodbye.
  • see off とは、出発する人と一緒に、出発するところ(例えば、空港や駅、玄関など)まで行って別れを告げる、つまり、見送る、という意味です。
