Here's an expression that's built to last!
- Durable goods are products that can be used for at least a few years; for example, cars, furniture, and TVs.
Nondurable goods are products that are normally used for shorter periods of time (than durable goods) and so are bought more frequently; for example, food, clothes, paper, and cosmetics.
- (fictional news report)
New orders for U.S.-made durable goods rose more than expected last month. - The country's development plan includes measures to attract foreign manufacturers of consumer durable goods.
- The drop in consumer spending on nondurable goods was due mainly to lower gas and oil prices.
See you tomorrow!
