Hello again! We hope Santa (or one of his helpers) was extra generous to you yesterday. Now that Christmas is over, it's time to turn our thoughts to the New Year.

Although today's WordMaster isn't exactly a “traditional” part of the New Year's holiday, it sure does get people excited around this time of the year!

Explanation

  • A lottery is an event in which people buy tickets for a chance to win a prize. The prize is given to the person whose ticket number is chosen by chance.
  • lottery は、賞金が当たるチャンスを得るために、人々が券を買うイベント、つまり、宝くじのことです。券に付いている番号が抽選で選ばれると、賞金がもらえます。
