Explanation

  • To do something purposely or on purpose is to do it because you wanted to and planned to.
  • purposely または on purpose とは、あることをしようと思い、計画していたために何かをする、つまり、わざと、故意に、という意味です。

  1. The umpire thought the pitcher had purposely hit the batter with a fastball, so he threw him out of the game.

  3. I didn't do it on purpose - it just happened.
