PURPOSELY / ON PURPOSE わざと、故意に
- To do something purposely or on purpose is to do it because you wanted to and planned to.
- purposely または on purpose とは、あることをしようと思い、計画していたために何かをする、つまり、わざと、故意に、という意味です。
- The umpire thought the pitcher had purposely hit the batter with a fastball, so he threw him out of the game.
- He purposely brought the dog into the living room covered in dirt just to upset me.
- I didn't do it on purpose - it just happened.
- a: Your shirt is inside out.
b: I know. I wear it that way on purpose - it's the fashion.
