ALLERGIC (TO)   (~に)アレルギーがある、~が嫌いだ

Explanation

  • Someone is allergic to something if they have an allergy to it or (informally) if they dislike it.
  • allergic to something とは、何かに対してアレルギーがあるという意味ですが、(口語では)何かが嫌いである、という意味でも使います。

examples

  1. a: Would you like some chocolate?
    b: No thank you. I'm allergic.
  2. I don't really like visiting my sister at her home. I'm allergic to cats, and she's got three of them.
  3. My father likes to joke and say that he's allergic to computers. He still prefers to use his old typewriter to write letters.
