Explanation

  • You can call the place where you do your job work.*
    If you work in an office, you can also call it the office.

    A company is a business organization.

    Be Careful! We usually do NOT use the word company to talk about the building or office in which an organization does business. So, for example, it is much more common to say “go to work” or “go to the office” than “go to the company”.

  • 仕事をする場所を work （職場）と言います。もしオフィスで仕事をしているのであれば、職場という意味で the office と言うこともできます。

    company は、利益を生み出すための組織、つまり、会社のことです。

    注意：company は、仕事をする場所（ビルやオフィス）を表す言葉ではありません。ですから､例えば go to work 、go to the office とは言いますが、 go to the company とは言いません。
