  • To consider something is to think about it, especially in a formal situation or when the subject is important.

Be Careful! Although we say “think ABOUT something”, we do NOT say “consider ABOUT something”.

  1. Of course I want to marry Jill, but she says she won't even consider marriage until I graduate.
  2. (information for students applying to a university)
Please give us 8 to 10 weeks to consider your application.
  3. a: Where do you think Nathan and I should go on our honeymoon?
b: Have you considered going on a cruise?
