- A date (n.) is a meeting that you arrange with someone you are romantically interested in.
When two people date (v.), they have a romantic relationship; they are not just friends. - date（名詞）とは、恋愛対象として興味をもっている人と約束して会うことです。
date（動詞）は、二人の人が、ただの友達ではなく恋人として交際する、という意味です。

b: Of course. We're going out for dinner and a movie. - I made a date with Miwako for Friday night. I can't wait!
