Explanation

  • If something is complimentary, it is given free, often to thank someone for their business or other favor, or as a perk to employees.
  • complimentary は、物やサービスが無料、という意味です。多くの場合、取引相手やひいきにしてくれる顧客への感謝の意を示すため、あるいは従業員への特典として提供されます。

examples

  1. (hotel front desk clerk to a guest)
    We offer a complimentary breakfast buffet from 7 to 9:30.
  2. (flight attendant to passengers)
