Explanation

  • Customer retention is a measure of how many (external) customers continue to purchase products or services from a particular company. It can also mean the act of keeping customers.

    Employee retention is a measure of how many employees continue to work for the same organization over a particular period of time. It can also mean the act of keeping employees in the organization.
  • customer retention とは、ある特定の会社から商品を購入し続けたり、サービスを受け続けたりする(外部)顧客がどのくらいいるかを示す尺度のことです。顧客を維持すること、という意味でも使うことができます。

    employee retention とは、ある一定期間、同じ企業内で働き続ける従業員がどのくらいいるかを示す尺度のことです。企業に従業員が定着すること、という意味でも使うことができます。
