When the world seems filled with pain and worry, send in the clowns!
CLOWN ピエロ
- A clown is a person at a circus or other event who wears funny clothes and makeup - especially a big red nose - and makes people laugh by doing silly things.
Be Careful! In English, the word “pierrot” is NOT used like the Japanese ピエロ to mean clown.
- I always enjoy watching the clowns at the circus.
- My daughter dressed up as a clown last Halloween.
- Why don't we hire a clown to entertain the kids at Jimmy's birthday party?
Make 'em laugh!
