Hi! For today's WordMaster, we're getting casual and comfortable. So loosen that tie, take off that stiff shirt, and slip on today's edition!
- A sweatshirt is a piece of loose, thick-cotton clothing for the upper part of the body. It doesn't have a collar and is long-sleeved, pulled over the head, and often worn in order to stay warm while doing sports or other exercise.
Be careful:
We do not use the word "trainer" like the Japanese トレーナ to mean sweatshirt.
- It's still not warm enough to go jogging outside without a sweatshirt..
- The players usually wear sweatshirt while they warm up and then take them off before the match begins.
- My teenage son wears the same pair of jeans and the same old sweatshirt every day. I wish he would put on something nice for a change.
Have a fine day!
