Good day! Driving can give a person a tremendous sense of freedom, but it can also be a major source of stress. That's when today's WordMaster comes in handy!

Today's LessonCATEGORY: Japanese English
HONK (THE HORN)

Explanation

  • To honk or honk the horn of a vehicle is to cause the car to make a loud sound in order to let someone know that a situation is dangerous, to get their attention, etc.

We can also say that a horn honks.

    Be careful:
We do NOT use the word “klaxon” like the Japanese クラクション to mean horn or honk.。
