Explanation

  • A shuttle is a bus, train, airplane, etc. that travels regularly back and forth along a short route.
  • 近距離の定まったルートを往復する、バス、電車、飛行機などの乗り物のことを、shuttle  といいます。

examples

  1. a: What's the cheapest way to get to the university from here?
    b: You should take the shuttle bus. It's free, and you don't even have to be a student.
  2. (at the airport ground transportation counter)
    a: Where can I catch a hotel shuttle?
    b: They leave from the bus stop in front of the West Terminal.
  3. Instead of driving to the airport, why don't you take the airport shuttle?  It drops you off right in front of the terminal.
  4. West Coast Airlines has a shuttle service between the Sacramento Municipal and San Francisco International airports. The flight takes just 15 minutes.
