HOME>Word Master®>TAKE (medicine) (薬を)飲む
Thank God it's Friday! (It's fun to say that once in a while.) We hope it's been a great week for you. Ours couldn't have been better, thanks to you.
Enjoy this pre-weekend WordMaster edition! |
To take medicine means to put it into your mouth and swallow.
(Be careful: Although in Japanese we say 薬を飲む, in English we usually do NOT say "DRINK medicine".)
薬を飲むと言いたいとき、takeという動詞を使います。
注意: 日本語では薬を「飲む」と言いますが、英語では普通、DRINK medicineとは言いません。
1. | a: | I've got a terrible headache! | | b: | Why don't you take some aspirin and go to bed? | | | | 2. | Take this medicine three times a day with meals. | | | | 3. | You shouldn't take cold medicine if you're going to drive later. |
| Make it a weekend to remember! |
