QUITE A FEW/A LOT/A WHILE   多数/ 多量/長時間、長い間

Quite a few means a large number. (Use with the plural form of countable nouns.)

Quite a lot of means a large amount. (Use with plural nouns or uncountable nouns.)

Quite a while means a long time.

quite a fewは、多数という意味です。(数えられる名詞の複数形と共に使います。)

quite a lotは、多量という意味です。(数えられる名詞の複数形、数えられない名詞の両方に使えます。)

quite a whileは、長時間、長い間の意味です。

 

1. Greg has quite a few books on the Civil War in his room. Has he read all of them?

2. They get quite a lot of snow in Niigata. In fact, they call that area "yukiguni".

3. It takes quite a while to learn how to play a musical instrument well.
