CARDINAL NUMBERS      (数えるための)数字


Cardinal numbers are numbers we use for counting: for example, one, two, three, ten, etc. Because cardinal numbers are used for counting, the noun that follows the number is plural (except after the number "1", of course).

Cardinal numbers というのは、物を数えるときに使う数字のことです。
例えば、1,2,3,10などです。物を数えるわけですから、数字の
後ろに来る名詞は複数形になります。(もちろん1以外)

2. I had two large sandwiches for lunch.
